awesome but also creepy, is there a backstory for this picture?
Yeah, this was suppose to be the 5th painting of a narrative I was working on, the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. It's suppose to be a wild woman ripping off the head of Orpheus after he loses Eurydice. It's still in progress and I'm sort of changing the narrative because I like painting in this style.

Someone looking like that called Sandy came by and ripped bits of my roof off and plunged me into cold darkness for a week- sorry haven't been around lately :( That is quite good, but as a dude looking at it, it kinda... hmm.. looks painful.

As for the squeamish part...that's the whole idea *grin* even though this painting is based off of a greek myth i liked reading as a kid.
I tried making a series, but cudn't stop making monstrous ones after this one lol.
I'm still working on it, improving it after critique then putting up for some thing at school.
I'm excited about the reactions.
I'm gonna start putting more work up, I just need to take photos and keep working lol.
I tried making pieces that are toned down, decent, happy...but I can only do that for so long.
